ONE PAGE DESCRIPTION OF ECOSYSTEM IN SAN MIGUEL CHICAJ, BAJA VERAPAZ
In the area of San Miguel Chicaj has couple of ecosystems that is easy to see. A storage-water that is where people gets water to drink, it careless by the government of the place mentioned. This storage-water covers 13 to 15 villages of San Miguel which now is a problem for the entire community because it is getting dry and people that are little bit far away from the main town starting to buy water because of the climate change.
The population of lizards are always presents in any land field of the community, Personally I only have seen in dry season specifically at noon when they come out of shrubs to get some sunshine. An ecosystem of cow, horses, chicken, turkey and ducks there are the most the common ecosystem that we can find in this area in any land field which characterized the community.
San Miguel Chicaj is a dry forest where the ecosystem of pines are living in the mountains which sometimes the community gets benefits from it, but also the community is harming those trees because they are expensive and high wood quality. High mountains can be find in this area which is hard for people to use this land because sometimes it gets fire and nobody can slowdown it.
An ecosystem of corn, peanut, pineapple, tomato's etc, can be find in any farm that is close to the community.
